15 Classroom Wheel Activities
A spinning wheel turns everyday routines into something students look forward to. Here are fifteen ideas that take less than a minute to set up.
Classroom ideas

- Times-tables drill, spin two numbers on the combo wheel and multiply.
- Letter of the day, the letter wheel chooses the sound to practise.
- Vocabulary review, put this week’s words on the wheel; the student uses the word in a sentence.
- Story starters, character + setting + problem on three wheels.
- Brain breaks, stretch, dance, deep breaths (see templates).
- Random groups, the team generator splits the class in one click.
- Reward wheel, choose the music, sit anywhere, five minutes of free reading.
- Classroom jobs, rotate line leader, board cleaner and plant waterer.
- Review game, spin a topic, then a points value.
- Geography, spin a country and find it on the map with the country wheel.
- Probability lesson, predict results, spin 30 times, compare with the Results export.
- Debate sides, the yes or no wheel decides who argues for and against.
- Exit tickets, spin a question type: summarise, ask, connect, rate.
- Presentation order, draw all names in one spin for a fair running order.
Tips for using a wheel in class
- Use projector mode so only the wheel shows on the board.
